Our Valentines Day didn’t work out as I had initially planned (between sickness, potty training, etc.) and Mara told me it was “the worst Valentines Day ever!” (Such a drama queen!)
So over the weekend, I blew up the heart-shaped balloons I had for them. Rissa’s popped right away, and she cried. Many many tears.
I had said “Just one for each child,” but I don’t think Micah remembered. He felt so bad for her.
He ran to the kitchen, got a new balloon and ran back to us, telling her, “It’s okay. You can have another one!”
So I relented and blew up another one for my little girl, who hugged her balloon and cooed, “Oh, balloooon! . . . Wuv you soo much!”
To me, she added, “I care-ful!” and walked around the house, with more balloon hugs, saying, “Oh my heart! . . . Wuv you soo much!”
Sweet, beautiful picture! Thanks!
i have a “worst valentines day” story too…tell her i understand the woe’s! 😉 glad you were able to celebrate once you were feeling better. good to have you back to blogging!
