My favorite little boy in all the world!

I sing to Micah-man.

For as long as I can remember, I have been singing this silly little song to him (with the tune “If you’re happy and you know it!”)

He’s my favorite little boy in all the world! [clap, clap]

He’s my favorite little boy in all the world! [clap, clap]

He’s my favorite little boy, He’s my favorite little boy,

He’s my favorite little boy in all the world! [clap, clap]

He is.

I just love him so much!!

Micah’s Antics

Mara’s been monopolizing the “blog press” these past few days, so I thought I would do a couple posts on my little guy.

Daddy won some office supplies in a contest at work! Micah had fun pulling the sheet protectors off the coffee table and carrying them around in his walker. DaddyWonOfficeSuppliesMidJune2009006

Micah loves music! and he thinks he wants to learn how to play the piano. If he stands on his tippy-toes, he can now reach the keys! PianoMicahTipToesMidJune2009027

Daniel’s grandparents visited from Indiana last week, so Mara & Micah got to spend some time with their great-grands. Here’s Micah with Great-Grammie:MicahGrammieMidJune2009064

He especially seemed to enjoy his time with Great-Grandpa. MicahGreatGrandsMidJune2009053-1

Irresistible!

Daniel was supposed to be watching the kids downstairs as I took about 15 minutes to straighten the house and go to a bridal shower. I was in the bathroom when I heard footsteps on the stairs. (They weren’t Daniel’s footsteps–and Micah rarely wears shoes–so I knew who it was!)

“Mara,” I scolded, “why are you coming upstairs?”

“I’m coming . . . upstairs,” she explained very deliberately, between footsteps, “because . . . I love you.”

And I heard Daniel say from downstairs, “How can you resist that?”

Seriously.

She knows how to get to me!

Daniel’s New Shirts From Jos. A Banks

As a print journalism minor, I studied promotions and advertising a bit in undergrad.  I am always entertained and amused by product ads and labels.

Well, as I mentioned last week, Jos. A Banks has a great “Buy One, Get Two Free” sale online on men’s dress clothes going on. Daniel needed both khakis and polos, so I was really excited when his clothes arrived!

I had to laugh though when I read the tag on the polo shirts:

Daniel has worn them, I’ve washed them, and it’s true! They haven’t:

  • Stained
  • Wrinkled
  • Pilled
  • Shrunk
  • The collars haven’t curled, and
  • They have maintained their color and shape!

Virtually indestructible!

Daniel should be able to wear this shirt for the rest of his life.

I thought, at the bottom of the tag, they just should add, “Till death do us part!”
